One thing to note: 400 watts of power does come at a price, and this hand vacuum is no kitten. The sound is not especially unpleasant--it’s just loud--but you probably won’t be able to crank it on if the baby is sleeping.

Easy to manipulate, the vacuum has a comfortable handle and a simple rocker power switch. The bagless dirt collection cup pops off easily for emptying, and the interior filter is washable. Conversion to attachment cleaning is also straightforward--the flexible hose, crevice tool, and brush fit snugly into the Shark’s oval mouth.
